Tamsin's aim by setting up Discovering Dyslexia is to help anyone who is Neurodivergent find the necessary tools they need to help them in one easy space, educate the wider Gloucestershire community and share her own experiences through her personal blog.
Discovering Dyslexia was launched in 2023, with the main aim being to provide a simple/easy to use platform for Neurodivergents or their parents/guardians. Allowing them to find all the help and guidance they may need throughout their educational and working careers.
The name, which was inspired after speaking on BBC Radio Gloucestershire

The name, which was inspired after speaking on BBC Radio Gloucestershire about dyslexia. The public were asked what word would they use instead of "Diagnosed" one listener texted in "Discovering" and with that the name was born! Now we see it as s symbol for the ever evolving world of hidden disabilities that we have so much more to learn about.

The first aim is to provide a simple and easy to use platform for a neurodivergent of any age and their parents/guardians to find the support they may need throughout their educational and work career.
The second, to create a safe space through our blog for individuals to share their experiences, learn about others and allow people to realise they are not alone in their journey.
Our third and final aim, is to educate the wider Gloucestershire community on the values, difficulties and strengths dyslexia by providing talks to schools, businesses, community groups and media platforms.
